Coronavirus (COVID-19) information hub

We understand that you might be worried about coronavirus – also known as COVID-19 – and visiting Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

The safety of our patients, families, and staff is vitally important to us. If you visit the hospital, you will notice that we have additional safety measures in place to protect everyone at GOSH. We've created this handy hub to answer all your questions and concerns before your visit.

Important Update 16/12/2021: With due consideration to the latest surge in Omicron infections, we are encouraging all outpatient appointments to be virtual where clinically possible. This will limit the number of visitors to the hospital and supports the well-being of all patients and staff. Our teams will work with you to ensure you have the information you need to ensure your appointment will be carried out in a secure, safe environment.

For families coming to GOSH, we encourage parents to carry out regular lateral flow tests. Whilst we are not changing the rules on visits from parents and carers, visitors will still be required to complete a symptom check questionnaire on our wards.

We are currently accepting patient referrals.
