概述

Dr Matthew Fenton is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

He is an expert in cardiac medical advances such as the Berlin Heart device, which is used in children whose hearts are no longer strong enough to pump blood around their bodies. He is also an advocate of organ donation and organ transplantation.

Dr Fenton has worked at GOSH for more than 10 years. He first came here in 2003 and worked alongside Dr Mike Burch as a fellow, then spent a year in transplant and a year in research before completing his training.

In 2012, Dr Fenton was part of the BBC Great Ormond Street documentary series and discussed the Berlin Heart, heart transplantation and organ donation, and the decision-making process.
