Mr Owase Jeelani is a Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon and has worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) part time since 2000 and full time since 2009. 

Mr Owase Jeelani is the Specialty Lead for the Division of Neurosurgery and holds an Honorary Senior Lectureship at the University College London (UCL) Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. 

Mr Jeelani undertakes healthcare consultancy work for Middle Eastern Governments and other private and NHS organisations. The Times listed him as one of the top British surgeons in 2011.

  • Co-Director of Face Value, a research team of scientists and biomedical engineers based at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, where the research focus is in defining craniofacial morphology in the normal and affected populations and developing techniques and distractors to achieve this change in a less invasive and more predictable manner
